The TMC2 control system
This microprocessor based wind turbine controller is exclusively designed for smaller wind turbines and retrofit applications ranging from 5,5 kW to 250 kW. Applicable for grid connected, stall controlled turbines with 1 or 2 generators.

TMC2 communication software
Some TMC2 controllers supports Modbus RTU communication, for this Orbital has created a free piece of software that enables you to do the following:

To determine if you have a controller which supports Modbus RTU please take a look at turbine types.
Two versions of the software is available, contact us with your firmware version to find which one is suitable for your controller.

Supported turbine types
The control algorithm running in the TMC2 is a “fixed program” what this means is, that unlike our IEC control system Orbital writes the program for controlling your wind turbine.
With the current firmware versions we have, we can control the following turbine types:
DanWin 160, Vestas V17, Bonus 95, Bonus 120, Micon 108, Micon 250, Micon 250C, Micon 250G, Wincon 108, EW 15, Nordtand 55, Nordtank 65, Nordtank 99, Nordtank 300, Reymo 20 / 95, Gaia 11kW
